Outside Ottawa

Toronto area (and across Canada) - CFCN

The Canadian Families and Corrections Network (CFCN) runs a family support group in the Toronto area in conjunction with Friends of Dismas.

There is a nice meal starting at 6:00 pm (in attendance are volunteers, those released, their family members, and friends) and then they break off into two groups.  The larger group (Dismas – maybe 50-60 people) stay in the gym and the Support Group goes to the library.  The Support Group has been running since 2016 and is all ladies.  Everyone is supportive and welcoming.

It is usually 2 Fridays a month held at the Walmer Road Church (188 Lowther Av, near the Spadina subway station), the dates are on the website http://www.friendsofdismas.com/dismas-fellowship-toronto-dates/ .  It starts with hellos and the meal at 5:30-6:00 pm until 8:30 pm with the support group starting around 7:00 pm.  You can come for it all or just the Support Group.
